Main Purpose of the Role The primary function of this job is to assist shift supervisor/manager with work assignments,movement of personnel and ensuring customer orders are processed appropriately to meet compliance requirements,regulations,carrier deadlines and customer expectations. Main Responsibilities Individual ensures manufacturing needs are met in a timely manner. Maintains shift responsibility when exempt supervisor/manager is not present. Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records. Retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.). Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organizations established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones, updating stock cards and inventory records, and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms. Operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery. Qualifications Education High School Diploma/GED Experience/Background Minimum 2 years relevant experience in shipping and inventory control Experience as a team leader is preferable Ability to work through others who are not direct reports The base pay for this position is $22.50 $45.00/hour In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
