Full Job Description

Job Description The starting pay range for this position begins at $16.32/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Flex: A position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between 1000 - 1559 hours/year). The Inn Door Attendant is responsible for ensuring all guests/visitors of the hotel feel welcomed as they arrive by delivering a warm and sincere greeting, and anticipating needs. The incumbent will also be responsible for answering guest inquires; building relationships with repeat guests and visitors; maintaining knowledge of estate and area events and activities as well as group and VIP arrivals/departures; and ensuring delivery of world class service in accordance with departmental and company standards. The Door Attendant will also provide general support to the Guest Services team, helping with valet, bell, and dispatch duties as assigned. Requirements: 1. Previous comparable guest service experience, preferably working in a four star/diamond hotel/resort. The preferred candidate will have at least six months of direct guest service experience in a hospitality setting. 2. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills. 3. Ability to engage with guests in a warm and sincere manner, 4. Ability to exhibit a high degree of integrity, professionalism and good judgment. 5. Extremely strong work ethic and sense of teamwork. 6. Ability to proactively anticipate guest needs. 7. Ability to maintain guest confidentiality. 8. Proven commitment to delivering world class guest service and/or the ability to meet departmental standards for guest service delivery. 9. Must be at least 18 years of age and have valid NC Driver's license. 10. Have the ability to operate standard transmission vehicles. Essential Job Duties: 1. Meet/Greet guests 2. Open doors 3. Clean working area 4. Give directions 5. Monitor valet circle 6. Keep entrance to hotel clear 7. Interact with guest 8. Report on maintenance 9. Maintain complete knowledge of: a) Daily Inn activities b) Daily estate activities c) Inn/Estate services/hours of operations d) Inn policies and procedures e) Groups in-house and VIP'S f) Departure and arrival numbers g) Knowledge and locations of the Asheville area 10. Follow all required Forbes and departmental standards set forth by the Guest Services department. Physical Requirements: 1. Professional appearance (neatly groomed beard/moustache, or clean shaven). 2. Ability to push, pull, and or lift 50 lbs. or more on occasion 3. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions.
