Stacker Labor :Job Description Summary The Stacker Labor employee is responsible for stacking, organizing, and preparing packaged product for palletizing and further processing. This position supports continuous product flow, packaging efficiency, and workplace safety while maintaining compliance with Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Stack packaged product onto pallets or designated staging areas according to specifications Ensure proper stacking patterns, alignment, and stability of product loads Monitor product flow to prevent backups, damage, or mis-stacking Remove damaged or defective packages from the line and report issues Maintain clean and organized work areas around stacking and palletizing stations Assist with pallet changes, slip sheets, and load preparation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies Use proper lifting techniques and safe material-handling practices Communicate effectively with line operators and supervisors Perform other duties as assigned Fresh Plant Environment Expectations Work directly with packaged fresh product in temperature-controlled environments Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards Wear required PPE, including gloves, hairnets, and protective footwear Work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment Education and Experience Requirements Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: Prior production, packaging, or stacking experience preferred Experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus Skills and Competencies Ability to follow stacking patterns and instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to safety and food safety standards Physical Demands and Work Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions Ability to lift, carry, and stack product as required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Work Schedule Must be available to work assigned shifts Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs Safety and Compliance Commitment The Stacker Labor employee is expected to maintain a safe work environment and comply with Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures. This role is essential to maintaining packaging efficiency, load stability, and safe production operations at the Vicksburg Plant.
