This Sr. Account Executive role is ideally served in the Pacific or Mountain time zones. This is a dynamic, hunter-focused sales position requiring deep insight into how innovative solutions drive financial outcomes and operational efficiency. Youll be responsible for prospecting and closing new accounts in the financial services sectorwith a strong emphasis on credit unionswhile nurturing a handful of anchor accounts with larger institutions to ensure steady revenue streams. This role calls for proactive outreach, tactical execution, and a solid grasp of F5s evolving Application Delivery & Security platform, including Distributed Cloud Services, NGINX, and AI-driven security solutions. You will cultivate opportunities across the F5 solution portfolio, drawing on your experience with credit union decision-making cycles and regulatory landscapes. Youll collaborate seamlessly with channel partners, fintech integrators, and regional advisors to deliver tailored value to credit unions and broader financial enterprises. What Will You Be Responsible For? Act as the primary hunter for new business in financial services, with a focus on credit unions, while maintaining executive relationships with 2-3 anchor accounts at larger institutions to drive expansion. Sell F5s full suite of products and servicesincluding modern app security, multi-cloud networking, and AI-enhanced threat detectionto targeted new and existing credit union accounts. Identify and qualify short- and long-term opportunities, prioritizing credit union growth initiatives and compliance-driven digital transformations. Lead compelling proposals and presentations customized for credit union stakeholders, navigating intricate regulatory and procurement processes. Build and sustain strategic partner ecosystems, particularly with fintech vendors and regional financial advisors. Keep abreast of industry trends, credit union regulations (e.g., NCUA guidelines, data privacy standards), and cutting-edge technologies shaping financial services modernization. Translate credit union operational needs into customized solutions using F5s innovative platforms, such as BIG-IP for secure application delivery and NGINX for scalable edge computing in digital banking. Maintain precise sales forecasting and pipeline management via CRM tools like Salesforce. Partner with internal teams to craft innovative, compliant, and scalable strategies for financial services clients, leveraging F5s Distributed Cloud Services for hybrid cloud resilience and AI-driven security for fraud prevention. How do you qualify? Demonstrate 4+ years of direct experience in new business development and strategic account management, with a proven track record in financial services sales (ideally credit unions or community banking). BA/BS degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of financial services procurement, contract structures, and compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with networking and cybersecurity products, preferably including F5s portfolio (BIG-IP, NGINX, Distributed Cloud, etc.). Exceptional negotiation and closing prowess, honed in highly regulated financial environments. Advanced relationship-building and client-centric mindset. Demonstrated success in selling complex solutions within a collaborative, matrixed organization. Profound insight into credit union challenges and financial services digital evolution goals.
