The Dexcom Electrical Engineering team is accountable for all aspects of electronics development for research platforms, wearable transmitters, handheld receivers and test tools. The Hardware Engineer 1 role is responsible for design, modeling / simulation and test of electronics throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life. Where you come in: You will support the design, development, testing, and characterization of electronic hardware systems. You will perform laboratory testing, debugging, and validation of analog, digital, power, and wireless subsystems. You will collect, analyze, and document test data and communicate results to project teams. You will assist in schematic reviews, design verification testing, and root-cause investigations. You will develop and execute test methods and support automation efforts using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms. You will contribute to design documentation, engineering reports, and technical presentations. You will support product development activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization and sustaining engineering. You will learn and apply engineering best practices while working under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads. What makes you successful: You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. You have a strong foundation in analog, digital, RF, embedded, or power electronics. You have experience through coursework, internships, laboratory work, or projects involving electronic hardware design and testing. You are familiar with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, or spectrum analyzers. You have basic programming or scripting experience using Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar languages. You can analyze technical data and draw logical conclusions to support engineering decisions. You communicate effectively and collaborate well within multidisciplinary teams. You demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a desire to continuously learn new technologies. You manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to evolving project needs.
