Job Description $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center-Montlake - Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse. WORK SCHEDULE 5x8 shift schedule Monday-Friday only Shifts will run between 7:00am and 5:00pm; the exact hours may vary each week RNs can work from home 1 day per week after they've been trained on our clinic protocols DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Located at UW Medical Center-Montlake, our specialty clinic has fellowship-trained surgeons who assess and treat all head and neck conditions. Our specialists care for patients with otology and vestibular disorders, nasal obstruction and breathing issues, chronic sinusitis, tumors at the base of the skull, and laryngeal conditions. We also provide head and neck surgeries, plastic surgeries, and facial reconstructive surgeries. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS This is a back-office nursing position, focused primarily on triage and InBasket support We welcome experienced ambulatory nurses and nurses who are new to an outpatient setting to join our team PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Triages Epic InBasket requests based on acuity Reviews inbound patient referrals Answers patient calls and eCare messages on a daily basis Follows up on medical records and test results Completes patient paperwork, including forms for insurance authorizations and disability accommodations Provides case management support Educates patients and their families on home care and follow-up care When needed, assists our providers during minimally invasive procedures REQUIREMENTS Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State BLS Certification ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
