Billing Specialist

Location: Wagner, SD Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Wagner Community Memorial Hospital and Clinic is seeking a qualified individual to join our team! Position Highlights Starting Rate of Pay $23.50 / hour with extra consideration for experience The Billing Specialist assists in all duties and responsibilities relating to registration and patient accounting, and insurance, making sure they are carried out according to legal standards and departmental policy. Billing Specialist primary duty is insurance billing and filing appropriate claims to Medicare, Medicare Replacement, Medicaid, IHS, and insurance. Extensive billing responsibilities including CPT & HCPCS coding and management per CMS regulations. Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnostic coding and medical terminology also preferred. Education High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three-six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. License / Certification Preferred but not required Technical certification from NAHAM (National Association of Healthcare Access Managers) or AAHAM (American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management). Current CPR certification or completion upon next available program is required and provided by WCMH-A.
