Full Job Description

Job Title: Compliance Assistant Manager Location: CA - Irvine What you'll do: The Compliance Assistant Manager, Regulatory and Business Change, supports the Compliance Manager and Compliance Director of Corporate Compliance in managing enterprise-wide regulatory and business change activities. This role is responsible for assessing, identifying, and supporting the implementation of regulatory and operational changes impacting business lines, products, services, and processes, in alignment with the Banks Compliance Management System (CMS). Serving as a second line-of-defense, the Compliance Assistant Manager provides oversight, guidance, and effective challenge related to business, process, and service changes. The role collaborates closely with stakeholders across the first, second, and third lines of defense to evaluate compliance risk, support regulatory change management, enhance governance and reporting, and contribute to ongoing risk mitigation efforts. The position also plays a key role in maintaining documentation, reporting to risk management committees, and supporting continuous improvement of compliance policies, practices, and tools. Assist with reviewing, interpreting, and assessing new or amended laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance. Evaluate regulatory changes for applicability and impact to the company and support implementation planning and tracking. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices, and share insights with Compliance leadership and stakeholders. Support the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the business, product, and service change management process. Assess the compliance impact of proposed and implemented business changes, including new or modified products, services, processes, and delivery channels. Provide second line-of-defense oversight, guidance, and advisory support related to regulatory and business change initiatives. Provide leadership and subject matter support in evaluating compliance risks associated with business changes. Identify emerging compliance risks and control gaps resulting from regulatory or operational changes. Partner with compliance subject matter experts to develop an integrated and independent view of business area risks and risk management practices. Maintain databases, logs, and records that demonstrate an effective and sustainable process for identifying, tracking, and implementing regulatory and business change requirements. Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports summarizing business, product, and service change reviews. Assist with the preparation of audit, examination, and regulatory change summaries for presentation to management and Bank risk management committees. Work closely with stakeholders across business lines and control functions to gain insight into compliance risks related to business activities, objectives, processes, and the control environment. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Compliance Management System and related frameworks. Provide support for special projects related to regulatory change, governance, or compliance program enhancements. What you'll need: 5+ years of related experience in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit or similar field. Bachelor's degree in related field required. Previous leadership experience preferred. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Intermediate to advanced experience in Regulatory and Compliance as it relates to Banking is preferred. Intermediate to advanced understanding of MS Office with specific focus in Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced speaking and writing communication skills. Highly organized. Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager preferred. Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $114,910.00 - $141,946.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
