We are looking for a PM Commis Chef to join our culinary team and support daily kitchen operations while delivering an exceptional dining experience rooted in thoughtful, heartfelt hospitality. The Line Cook works closely with the Chef de Cuisine and culinary leadership to prepare menu items to standard, maintain an organized and efficient station, and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment that reflects Lyles culture, mission, and philosophy. Commis Chef Essential Functions Prepare and execute menu items in a timely and consistent manner Operate a designated station on the kitchen line, following recipes and plating standards Recreate dishes designed by the Chef de Cuisine and culinary leadership Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the workstation at all times Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures Communicate effectively with teammates to ensure smooth service flow Assist with prep work, restocking, and station setup and breakdown This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: 1+ year of culinary or line cook experience preferred Hotel experience is not required a fun, welcoming personality is a must Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Exceptional organizational and time-management skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of high service standards; Forbes standards knowledge is a plus Compensation: $21.00 - $22.00 Per Hour Benefits At Lyle Washington DC we are committed to giving our employees the skills and support required to deliver extraordinary experiences, and most importantly, to grow in their careers.
