If so, we have an exciting opportunity as a Principal Project Manager within the Portfolio Operations team in Associate Experience Technology (AXT) at Capital One. The Portfolio Operations team is responsible for driving adoption of an operating model that addresses our planning, prioritization and delivery process needs. What Youll Do: Program Oversight & Planning Lead Key Meetings: Run the Weekly AXT Intent Council meetings to review progress, solve problems, and keep projects visible to the team. Review and Approve Work: Manage the intake process for ETB initiatives. You will verify that the work is scoped correctly and that the division has the resources to accept it. Manage Risks: Monitor the health of projects across different teams. If a project is off-track or likely to miss a deadline, you are responsible for identifying the issue and reporting it to leadership immediately. Operations & Data Management Maintain Jira Systems: Manage the structure of our projects in Jira. This includes organizing complex data, and setting up project hierarchies. Ensure Data Accuracy: Regularly audit project data to fix errors and remove duplicates. You will ensure that the reports leadership uses are based on clean, accurate information. Process Workflows: Handle the distribution of large work updates (bulk uploads) and manage changes to project scope, ensuring standard procedures are followed quickly and correctly. Communication & Coordination Coordinate Between Teams: Act as the main point of contact between the AXT division and central enterprise groups. Keep Stakeholders Informed: Write and send the monthly newsletter and other team announcements. You are responsible for making sure everyone knows about upcoming deadlines, project changes, and key milestones. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Project Manager Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
