Work Flexibility: Hybrid Who We Want Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to join a team of new product innovators who specialize in partnering with the worlds top neuro and spine surgeons to revolutionize patient outcomes? Our global team is looking for a Staff Electrical Design Engineer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible by collaborating across the globe with other worldclass engineers. In this role, you will be part of multidisciplinary team where you will be tasked with owning the electrical hardware design for complex handheld powered devices used in cranial and spinal procedures. What You Will Do Define and maintain system-level electrical architecture, ensuring alignment across hardware, software, and product interfaces Provide technical direction, mentorship, and design oversight to 1-2 electrical engineers across the team Identify and proactively mitigate technical risks across the electrical subsystem Independently design and develop various electronic components including schematic and layout of circuit boards and wire harnesses Develop, review, and execute electrical system test methods using the appropriate equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) Lead creation and refinement of technical design documentation including drawings, design descriptions, requirements, and stackup calculations Interface with manufacturers to develop manufacturing test specifications Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success. Deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business priorities What You Need Minimum (Required Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline & 4+ years of work experience. Demonstrated schematic design, PCBA layout, and circuit modeling competency. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience owning the electrical development of medical devices or similar regulated products Advanced understanding of the design of complex components and sub-systems Ability to apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methods Advanced understanding of manufacturing and testing methods Ability to apply standard technologies used in industry Ability to perform complex electrical stack-ups Understanding of statistical methods Advanced knowledge of sub-system, system, and environmental interaction $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual Travel Percentage: 20% Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
