Job Title: Production Coach (Supervisor) Reporting To: Manager, Production Work Schedule: Onsite Blacksburg, VA Production Coach (Supervisor) Moog Blacksburg, VA Moog Space and Defense Group is the operating group with the longest heritage at Moog. Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Production Coach (Supervisor) to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Manager or Production Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA. To be considered for Production Coach (Supervisor), you will need: Associate degree and at least 2 years of direct supervision experience, OR currently pursuing a higher education degree with 6 years of direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of safety protocols and quality control standards. Excellent communication and team management abilities. As a Production Coach (Supervisor), you will: Ensure the use of safety devices, equipment, personal protective equipment, general housekeeping and is constantly alert for hazardous conditions. Take action to protect people and equipment in event of an emergency. Motivate, encourage, and lead employees to work in a structured team atmosphere. Interview and recommend selection, promotion, status change, award, disciplinary action, and separations. Lead problem solving activities among members of a cross-functional team. Lead subordinates and others in analyzing and solving problems utilizing available resources. Ensure that communication between employees, departments and management is adequate to meet all needs. Support Root Cause Corrective Action process to effectively and efficiently close audits, documenting corrective and preventive actions. Monitor and optimize workflow efforts to drive efficiency. Develop and be accountable for production goals, priorities and product schedules and perform capacity analysis to support company requirements. Develop, track, and communicate performance metrics for the department, and provide coaching and administrative support for the employees to develop their skills. Evaluate, provide feedback and coach employee work performance through ongoing dialogue and formal review. This will be through both praise and addressing performance issues. Coach and develop employees through training and feedback (skills, job knowledge, etc.). Help develop cost and budget analyses or forecast. Mesh technical expertise with prior experience to create a Quality Improvement Process to build an environment leading to success for you and the team. Read, attend training and/or technical seminars to keep abreast of new technical developments and supervisory techniques. Maintain a working knowledge of manufacturing, practices, techniques, equipment, etc.. Receive guidance from supervision, meet deadlines, follow work rules, safety practices, company and work procedures. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
