Partner with the best As a UT Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering world-class service and technical support for Waygate Technologies' installed base of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) systems and equipment across North America. You will serve as a trusted on-site partner for our customers, supporting system installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repairs, and operator training. Through proactive customer engagement and technical expertise, you will help maximize equipment performance, reliability, and operational uptime while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This position is based in Skaneateles, NY; however, qualified candidates located remotely within the United States will be considered. This role requires frequent travel throughout North America and occasional international travel to support customer sites and business needs. As a UT Service Engineer, you will be responsible Performing installation, commissioning, calibration, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair activities on UT testing systems and equipment throughout North America. Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, automation, and ultrasonic testing equipment issues to maximize customer uptime and system performance. Conducting annual certifications, equipment health assessments, and service interventions in accordance with company and customer requirements. Delivering customer training on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting best practices. Serving as the primary technical contact for customers during field assignments, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Identifying service, spare parts, upgrade, and maintenance opportunities to support the long-term reliability of customer equipment. Completing service reports, inspection records, and certification documentation accurately and on time. Ensuring all service activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards and customer schedules. Participating in ongoing technical training and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and equipment reliability. Collaborating with Service, Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams to support customers throughout the equipment lifecycle. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelors degree in engineering, science or technology field from an accredited college or university. Have practical, hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems and/or devices. Have demonstrated self-starter ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously. Have high energy, assertive, and self-motivated qualities to work in a fast-paced environment and enthusiasm for customer support. Have a hands-on mentality and team spirit. Have a customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality service. Have the ability to work independently at customer sites while managing multiple priorities. Have excellent communication and technical reporting skills. Have willingness to travel extensively throughout North America and occasionally internationally. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role. The annual pay scale for this position is between $65,410.00 - $121,510.00. Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
