Job Title: Quality Engineer Reporting To: Management, Quality Assurance Work Schedule: Onsite Buffalo, NY Moog is looking for a Quality Engineer to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to assure that we will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. In this role, you will have a measurable impact on our business performance by promoting the highest standards of quality. Given the complexity of the hardware we produce, were looking for someone who understands its critical nature. You will report to a Program QE Manager and work onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area). As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will: Most importantly, youll be relied upon to have integrity, and as someone who wont be afraid to stand up and say STOP we have a problem we that need to address right away. You may have found that this type of environment hasnt been encouraged where youve worked in the past, but it is here. Youll have the strength of Moogs culture behind you to support it. Responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers. Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain consistent, transparent communication with customers. Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel. Facilitate cross functional teams through problem solving activities. These activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability. Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection. Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective actions on complex issues. Reduce inspection costs and prevent failure-related expenses through statistical analysis and problem-solving. To be considered for this role, heres what youll need to bring with you: Bachelors degree in engineering - equivalent training and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Proficiency with problem solving tools and documentation.
