Summary Position Summary: Athens Services is seeking a Graphic designer who can translate ideas into visually impactful concepts that effectively communicate ideas and enhance brand identity. This position is part of the Marketing and Communications Department and is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and leading the creative execution of high-impact design initiatives that drive brand growth and engagement. The Graphic Designer will need to work across a variety of mediums in the creation of materials for developing and maintaining an impactful, on-brand experience as well as various email marketing, site ads, and more. The Graphic Designer will help elevate the brands visual identity through innovative design toolkits, concepts, and other creative and graphics deliverables. Job Description Essential Job Functions: Design marketing materials, graphics for social media, websites, advertisements, and other creative and educational materials that tell a compelling story and align with brand identity and company objectives. Maintain and update brand guidelines and establish department design policies to ensure consistency across all visual designs to build a strong brand identity. Balance multiple projects while maintaining high-quality outputs and meeting deadlines. Translate complex ideas into engaging visual designs. Create companywide assets and templates for one-sheets, ads, brochures, and other collateral materials. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper use of all design assets including logos and images and ensure all design work aligns with strategic goals and effectively communicates our brand vision Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends and tools to ensure creative output remains fresh, modern and effective. Provide art direction for photoshoots, video production, and other creative projects. Recommend and implement new creative processes and design tools to enhance efficiency and innovation. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Fine Arts, or 10+ years of design experience. Expert level using Adobe CS software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Lightroom a plus, but not required. Ability to work in both Microsoft and Apple based environments. Ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate with stakeholders and team members. Exceptional design aesthetic and awareness of design trends and innovation across a variety of static and digital mediums. A portfolio is required to be considered for this opportunity. Portfolio should include work that showcases design skills, including photoshopped designs/imagery, infographics, and a strong understanding of branding, layout, typography, and digital design work. Walking, standing, & sitting frequently. Reaching, crouching, stooping, bending, & lifting less than or equal to 50 Lbs. occasionally. Eye/hand coordination continuously. Fingering (typing, picking), holding (grasping), feet (foot pedals), wrist motion (flexion/rotation) frequently. Environmental: Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, noise, chemicals frequently. Exposure to outside elements (hot/cold/rain conditions) frequently. Walking on potential slippery surfaces occasionally. Works inside and outside.
