Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Handles processing all PFA filings. This includes docketing, verifying, scanning, indexing, and filing. Handles PFA billing. Enters information in PFAD. Prepare files for PFA hearings. Attend PFA court when needed. Provides customer service in the PFA area. Handles the State Report for PFA. Handles Bench Warrant procedures. Updates the Prothonotary Website. Provides IT support for the office. Processes incoming mail from the courts which requires time-stamping of orders, copying and delivering orders to the correct area of the office. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Processing PFAs - 40% Courtroom Duty - 30% Customer Service -10 Billing and Reports - 5% Web Site and IT Support - 5% Court Mail - 5% Helping in other areas - 5% MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent. One-year office experience or equivalent Must have computer operating skills. Ability to type 40 words per min. accurately. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Competency in the operation of basic office equipment: computer, fax, copier, etc. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the public in person or on the phone. Ability to analyze situations accurately and pursue an effective course of action. Ability to review documents, locate and analyze data, enter appropriate information accurately into the computer. Ability to review correspondence and pleadings, analyze dispositions, perform simple math calculations, process requests and documents. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES n/a PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Ability to transport dockets and indices weighing up to 25 lbs. to various locations in the courthouse.
