The Talent Development Specialists primary function centers on CLE accreditation and program approval, and plays a key part in leveraging technology, including the firm's Learning Management System (viLMS CLE), to streamline CLE administration, improve compliance tracking, and enhance the lawyer experience. Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Program Approvals & Accreditation Reporting to the Talent Development Manager, this role manages the end-to-end program approval workflow for all CLE submissions, including review of agendas, speaker qualifications, course materials, and credit categorizations prior to filing, ensuring all supporting documentation meets applicable state bar requirements. Maintain working knowledge of CLE rules in Decherts primary jurisdictions, including CA, CT, IL, NC, NJ, NY, PA, and TX. Apply specialized knowledge of CLE accreditation requirements to serve as a resource at the firm and ensure that all programs comply with CLE regulations to maintain the firms accredited provider status in primary jurisdictions. Respond to internal and external inquiries and provide requested information to CLE Boards. Seek direction and guidance for atypical or complex requests. Maintain CLE files in iManage according to firm and jurisdictional retention policies. Assist with producing and organizing materials for accredited provider renewals and reports. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration Monitor and maintain attendance records, reporting, and administration of viLMS CLE, including entry of lawyer records, license details, and certificates. Process programs in viLMS CLE and send certificates of attendance in a timely manner, including entering evaluations into relevant databases, completing all attendance reporting in any jurisdiction where required, and processing relevant payments. Work with AV services, practice group administration, and other teams to maintain an on-demand CLE library within viLMS CLE, ensuring content is current, properly cataloged, and accessible to lawyers across all offices. Serve as a subject-matter resource for the firm's learning management system, including administrator account setup, user training and guides, troubleshooting, and developing learning paths and reports. Technology, Webforms & Digital Workflow Management Work with supervisor on projects to improve CLE processes and resources. Research and test automations, AI tools, and other technology to reduce manual effort in compliance tracking, deadline management, and reporting. Create and maintain webforms to support CLE program approval requests, CLE attendance tracking and lawyer CLE record onboarding. Manage inbound data from webforms, including reviewing submissions for completeness, triaging requests, and routing them to appropriate team members. Lawyer Compliance & Communications Monitor relevant department inboxes, respond to routine CLE inquiries in a timely and professional manner, and direct complex or specialized requests to the appropriate team member or supervisor. Monitor lawyer CLE compliance for relevant jurisdictions, including tracking bar admissions, sending proactive compliance communications to lawyers, and escalating noncompliance issues to supervisor and/or the General Counsel's office as necessary. Monitor CLE sites for rule changes and update internal CLE resources appropriately. Program Planning & General Support Plan and manage program logistics for sessions run by the CLE team, including researching program topics, preparing program invitations, booking conference rooms, coordinating with AV services, and managing other related logistics. Perform all other duties as necessary and as assigned by your supervisor for the efficient functioning of the department, office, and firm. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in CLE administration and/or legal professional development, preferably within a law firm or legal services organization. Knowledge of viGlobal preferred. Knowledge of firm policies and procedures and CLE regulations and requirements. Experience administering or configuring a learning management system; comfort navigating LMS back-end settings, user management, and reporting functions. Experience creating and managing online webforms (e.g., using Smartsheet, Microsoft Forms, or similar tools), with an understanding of how to structure forms for data quality and workflow efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and related applications, in addition to strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and database management systems. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a professional and diplomatic manner. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail. Ability to solve problems and be forward-thinking. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Additional Job Description At the time of this posting, the salary range for this position in New York is $80,000 to $100,000 annually. Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience and location of the position.
