The Opportunity This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats. We are seeking a high caliber Manufacturing Process Engineer who will design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES As the Experienced professional in the Pharmaceutical/Biological Process Sub-Function, possesses well developed skills in implementing and maintaining pharmaceutical/biological processes. Calculates and organizes all data for complex process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations. Models processes and units operations. Ensures proper sequence of operation and prepares specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment. Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over such variables as temperature, density, pressure and viscosity. Services, troubleshoots, and solves engineering problems with processes or equipment already in operation. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. May be responsible for corrective and preventive actions and investigation management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING Associates Degree (± 13 years) Experience/Background Minimum 1 year Previous medical device experience preferred. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree - Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Biomedical or related Engineering area OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience. The base pay for this position is $81,500.00 $141,300.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
