Explore this opportunity: Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details, insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients obtaining services. You will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. This is a full time day (Monday-Friday 8:00am/7:00pm with possible late evening each week) position at NYP Medical Group Brooklyn located at 50 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY. Must be flexible, overtime as needed. Travel may be required to cover for other practice locations within Brooklyn. Preferred Criteria Some college Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4 Experience working in a busy healthcare environment Experience in a Cardiology practice preferred Bilingual- Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish or Russian speaking a plus Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED One year of clerical experience Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
