Participant service representatives are dedicated call center partners who analyze and resolve inquiries related to retirement plan information and execute department processing needs. The primary functions include answering the phone/mail and servicing account information. The key responsibilities of the role include: Strong communication, both written and verbal are required to support the call center inbound calls and other administrative functions. Utilize active listening skills to provide support for our clients retirement plan participants via phone and email. Provide retirement plan participants with information about their payment/tax form status, plan sponsor contact information, etc. Demonstrate strong time management skills, organizational skills and being detail oriented to process account maintenance transactions. Examples include address, direct deposit and tax withholding updates. Provide guidance to the enrollment and maintenance of our online website to retirees. Computer literacy and proficiency in troubleshooting basic technical issues. Demonstrate appropriate call behaviors as outlined by the department. Meeting outlined performance expectations as well as mitigating risk by following company compliance rules. Works effectively as a team member but also be an individual contributor. Utilize training and additional resources to manage escalated calls. Providing daily support to the Imaging/Inbound Mail desk functions (Chicago location only) The successful candidate will benefit from having: High School Diploma/GED and/or relevant work experience in a call center/financial institution. This is an entry level role with the opportunity to advance into a professional level role. Knowledge of the companys products or client servicing usually acquired through training programs or experience is required to support products for retirees. Strong phone, verbal and written communication skills. Active listening and interpersonal skills with aptitude to handle irate/challenging callers with minimal assistance. Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with different personality types. Capacity to learn quickly. Familiarity with web browsers. Speaking Spanish is a bonus Salary Range: $41,040 - 61,560 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
