Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help residents improve mobility, strength, function, and independence. Key Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Implement individualized treatment plans according to physician orders and therapy goals Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team Document treatments, progress notes, and required clinical information accurately and timely Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education Collaborate with nursing staff and other interdisciplinary team members Participate in care conferences and team meetings as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations Support residents in achieving their highest level of function and independence Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current South Carolina PTA license in good standing Must maintain all required continuing education and licensure requirements Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills What Makes You a Great Fit Compassion for an underserved population Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities Positive attitude and resident-centered approach Passion for helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals Apply Today Join a therapy team that is committed to helping residents reach their highest level of independence while working in a supportive environment that values your skills, dedication, and professional growth.
