Upon successful completion of the Academy, participants will transition into a Nursing Assistant position in the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Float Pool. The Float Pool offers the opportunity to work across a variety of patient care areas, expand your clinical experience, and build a strong foundation for a long-term healthcare career. Academy Pay Rate: $20.00 As an Academy participant, you'll work a 0.7 FTE (56 hours per two-week pay period) Day shift schedule for 4 weeks while completing your training. Job Description: Principle Responsibilities Attend and participate in Allina Healths Nursing Assistant Academy, with both in person and virtual learning at the Allina Commons in Minneapolis. Learn basic nursing skills including how to take vital signs, provide personal cares, and mobility assistance. After successfully completing all coursework, exams, and competencies required of the course, the trainee will be hired into a permanent Nursing Assistant position at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
