Role summary: The Senior Analyst, Specialty Compliance and Ethics, plays a critical role in monitoring and interpreting laws, regulations, and policies to ensure organizational adherence. This position involves researching compliance issues, developing and updating policies, and collaborating with leadership to address potential gaps. The role supports regulatory forecasting, impact assessments, and compliance reporting while providing expert guidance to enhance ethical standards. About the team: The Specialty Compliance and Ethics team ensures adherence to regulatory requirements by managing comprehensive workflows and data requests across multiple jurisdictions. The team collaborates closely with technical and production support to resolve issues promptly and prevent backlogs. It supports policy development, compliance risk management, and governance strategies while maintaining high ethical standards. Members contribute to monitoring compliance concerns, analyzing regulatory trends, and preparing reports for leadership. The team fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement to support business objectives and uphold Walmarts commitment to lawful and ethical operations. What you'll do: Monitor and research laws, regulations, and policies relevant to specialty compliance and ethics. Draft, update, and maintain policies and standard operating procedures with leadership input. Identify compliance risks and gaps, recommending strategies and solutions to address them. Collect and analyze data to create reports on compliance findings and communicate results to management. Develop and execute legislation assessment strategies, forecasting regulatory impacts on business operations. Collaborate with stakeholders to support compliance initiatives and ensure alignment with company standards. Provide expert guidance on compliance best practices and support continuous improvement efforts. Strong ability to develop, update, and implement policies and standard operating procedures aligned with ethical standards and business objectives. Experience conducting compliance assessments, identifying gaps, and recommending effective resolutions to senior leadership. Skilled in analyzing legislation, regulatory trends, and their implications to support strategic business adaptation. Proficient in data collection, reporting, and communicating compliance findings to stakeholders. Demonstrated capability to build partnerships and influence cross-functional teams to advance compliance initiatives.
