Advanced Diesel Repair Technician (Frederickson, WA)

PCR/Lemay is seeking a reliable, safetyfocused Diesel Mechanic in Frederickson, WA, to support our heavyduty truck and trailer maintenance teams. This position offers a competitive hourly rate, CDL premium, swingshift differential, and a $5,000 stayon bonus. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $35.00$36.00/hour CDL Premium: Additional $1.00/hour for Class A or B CDL holders Shift Differential: +$1.50/hour for swing shift StayOn Bonus: $5,000 Benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan (401k) with employer match Paid time off, paid sick leave, and holidays Ongoing training and professional development Other compensation: overtime pay, tool allowance, and employee recognition programs Schedule & Overtime Shift: MondayFriday, 2:30PM 11:00PM Overtime: Average 810 hours/week; paid at 1.5× Shift: Swing shift with differential applied Key Responsibilities Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks/trailers Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems Use diagnostic tools and software (Cummins Insite, Davie4, Allison DOC) Perform DOT and OSHAcompliant safety inspections Execute MIG welding and basic fabrication tasks Test drive vehicles to confirm repair quality/performance Record repairs, parts, and hours using fleet maintenance software Review and act on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) Ensure a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Communicate repairs and issues effectively with drivers and supervisors Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years heavy truck/diesel mechanic experience Intermediate proficiency with diagnostic tools and software Valid Drivers License; Class B CDL preferred (or obtain within 90 days) Welding experience (MIG) preferred Solid understanding of DOT, OSHA, and vehicle safety standards Ability to read and apply service and technical documentation Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team Own basic mechanic tool set SAFETY SENSITIVE: YES To be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application at www.careers.wasteconnections.com.
