Full Job Description

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Ink Technician opening at the VR1 facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Ink Dept Supervisor. Pay Scale: $19.96 - $29.94 depending on experience Plus an additional $2.50 for the night shift premium Schedule: 3/2 rotating schedule on nights - 7:00pm - 7:00am Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life after 30 days of employment 401K with company match Hourly Bonus Program Tuition Reimbursement Annual reviews with a potential for a pay rate increase Up to $120 for steel toed shoes Up to $135 for uniforms Up to $125 for prescription safety glasses Overtime MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS HS Diploma or GED Ability to be self-directed and to multi-task Must be able to pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color test Demonstrate a working knowledge of a formula database program. Ability to lift and move 50 - 70-pound ink drums Preferred Requirements Plate, Ink and/or Press Department experience Internal Applicants Last performance review was rated "Performer" or higher. No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 120 days. Must have been in current role for more than 120 days. JOB DESCRIPTION Servicing the ink department customers in a timely manner. Responsible for returning ink from completed jobs at press, capturing solvent usage, and returning ink to its proper location as well as data input into PRISM on returned ink. Maintain accurate inventory of ink adhesives and solvents as assigned. Receive and verify materials to ensure accuracy of orders. Provides data to PRISM in support of the manufacturing, sales and materials information system. Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals. Able to assist in the daily changeovers on the presses while maintaining the ink / solvent needs. Understand and be able to contribute to the waste reduction needs of the department.
