JOB DESCRIPTION: MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE Provides engineering leadership and expertise to support new and existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and tools. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develops new design features as part of existing systems. Delivers engineering information and solutions which adds value to the decision-making process. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. Performs lay out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes. Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function. Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities and remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Collaborates with cross -functional teams developing and executing tests, performing root cause analysis and participating in investigations. Initiates the planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing of engineering work, and may oversee the performance of less experienced engineers. Performs technical studies. Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents, and tabulates results, and provides reports. Subject matter expert and provides direction on issues, topics, and/or project leadership. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Applies theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity, and creative / analytical techniques within engineering and scientific principles. Helps establish processes based on product specifications and evaluates process and design alternatives based on "design for manufacturability". Monitor yield performances globally to understand electrical performance improvements. Perform yield excursion investigations to identify rootcause. Develop solutions to improve yield performance. QUALIFICATIONS Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Rootcause problem solving, Electrical investigations (prior work with electronic circuits) in manufacturing or semiconductor industry, Education Bachelors Degree Electrical engineering or related engineering field. Licenses and Certifications Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database management and specialized applications. The base pay for this position is $90,000.00 $180,000.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
