JOB DESCRIPTION: MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Performs entry-level activities to design and develop new software and hardware to test new products. Investigates and resolves production problems involving test equipment software and hardware. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. Promotes the process of continuous quality improvement and risk management and coordinates solutions for technical and project issues. Exercises independent judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develops hardware interfaces, including test points within design, and develops software to test design using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) testers. Designs and develops interface hardware, probes, fixtures and circuit boards to test silicon wafers and medical devices. Supports others in maintaining existing software. Installs changes as necessary to provide testing for updates to existing product designs. Updates all documentation to support changes. Generates software and hardware documents relative to the resolution of problems and/or the implementation of new test software. Uses engineering background to Identify and resolve discrepancies between new design test requirements and test system capabilities using hardware or software designs. Conducts design verification testing of hardware. Coordinates transfer of device and test software into production and provides follow-up support to facilitate resolution of problems. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. QUALIFICATIONS Education Education Level Major/Field of Study or Equivalent Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) Electrical engineering or related engineering field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience Experience/Background Experience Experience Details Basic familiarity with "C" programming or similar programming languages. Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and tasks. Demonstrated personal computer skills and ability to perform basic word processing/spreadsheets tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally. The base pay for this position is $73,900.00 $116,000.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
