Job Title: Associate Project Engineer Reporting To: Manager, Engineering Work Schedule: Onsite Buffalo, NY Moog is looking for an Associate Project Engineer to be an integral part of our engineering team, delivering highly complex electro-mechanical, mechanical, and hydro-mechanical components and systems for flight actuation applications to our Military Group customers. In this role, you will coordinate the development and project support activity for a variety of production and/or development programs that provide some of the industrys most sought-after flight actuation components and systems on next generation aircraft for the Military Aircraft Group. This position is based in East Aurora, NY. Day- to-Day Responsibilities: Construct the development program plan for assigned project in accordance with customer and Moog requirements, including necessary analyses, development hardware, and testing. Coordinate the implementation of the development program plan and project support activity. Provide oversight and maintenance of program progress for schedule and cost targets. Ensure the planned development activity will result in a straightforward transfer of a producible, robust design to production. Interact with customers and subcontractors as required to resolve development program issues, negotiate technical details, and report progress. Coordinate the activities of program support departments, providing direction and technical assistance as required and monitoring progress. Evaluate and implement alternatives when situations involving discrepant hardware or test anomalies arise, performing appropriate trade studies and engineering analyses as required. Heres what youll bring with you Typically possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with two or three years of experience as a Project or Product Engineering Technician A suitable alternative is an Associate or Technology degree with executing engineering tasks and project engineering experience Self-starting instincts, an aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly learn advanced design and/or analysis techniques. Basic knowledge of closed-loop control systems, mechanical and electrical hardware design. Ability to clearly communicate with other Engineers, Production Staff, and Management. Willingness and ability to adapt and make changes and improvements to meet business needs.
