Full Job Description

**This is an onsite position with a non-traditional schedule of 4x4 (4 days on 4 days off) work schedule 5am-5pm (12-hour shift) including weekends and holidays and rotating days off** Assigns the daily work orders and activities of gas service employees based on workload requests and manpower availability. Prioritizes and assigns daily work orders to optimize utilization of resources. Prioritizes and re assigns daily work orders as needed to ensure orders are completed timely. Dispatch all emergency orders including gas leaks, fire calls and monoxide orders timely and professionally. Monitors work throughout the day and reprioritizes and reassigns work as necessary to properly manage overtime. Assigns labor and equipment resources that will support the schedule. Coordinates the distribution of work to maximize operations effectiveness. Works with schedulers and field operation leaders to ensure the appropriate prioritization and routing of daily work. Manages the backlog of undated and filler work that needs to get done. Directs and instructs personnel to respond to emergency orders and facility locates throughout Distribution Operations to ensure compliance is attained. Communicates with mobile workforce, field operations, system operations, meter-to cash, call center, construction services, ESSO and all others that may apply to ensure a collaborative and effective link. Coordinates with others, as appropriate (including outside parties, utilities and internal resources/departments). Perform crew adjustments on resource constraints (e.g., employee call out) and notify supervisor of employees off time. Perform other resource updates, as necessary. Field calls from the call centers and perform the necessary follow-up for customer inquiries and complaints Reschedules work (if needed) and ensures that customers are informed of the updated status Must be able to work a rotating schedule of 4 days on 4 days off 5am-5pm (12-hour shift) including weekends and holidays Required Qualifications Two years of experience in Distribution Operations or equivalent work experience. Basic computer skills. Customer focus driven Demonstrated organizational skills. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of Distribution Operations policies. As a public utility, NiSource provides essential services to customers 24/7. Emergency needs can arise at various times throughout the year, including during storm season. Employees may be required to support emergency response efforts, which could include working outside normal hours or assisting with tasks outside of typical responsibilities.
