Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Senior Scientist, Technical Support WHAT YOULL DO Lead complex investigations, design changes, and onmarket product issue resolution to improve product availability. Partner with crossfunctional teams to assess impact and deliver effective technical solutions. Apply strong product, process, and operational knowledge using sound scientific and datadriven methods. Ensure adherence to Quality and Safety standards in all activities. Plan and execute projects efficiently while documenting work to established procedures. Anticipate and resolve customer issues through a deep understanding of product performance and clinical utility. Communicate effectively across teams, mentoring others and aligning work to business priorities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING Required Bachelor's degree required in a scientific/technical discipline. 6 years of experience in a related scientific/technical field. Advanced degree(s) may offset required years of experience. Experience Youll Bring Strong data analysis and systems experience Project team experience, including leading or supporting complex initiatives Knowledge of change control, investigations, and/or lab processes Proven technical problemsolving and rootcause analysis skills Experience mentoring others and collaborating crossfunctionally Familiarity with statistical, project management, and Six Sigma tools Exposure to diagnostics, immunoassay technologies, and/or operations (manufacturing or quality) Customerfacing experience resolving technical issues WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
