Job Title: Parts Technician Department: Maintenance Country: United States of America State/Province: Colorado City: Commerce City Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Applications are accepted on an on going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply. Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring parts are available to truck and trailer technicians for repairs. Manage inventory stock levels, perform audits, and submit orders to maintain an adequate supply of parts. Maintain information systems and process core and warranty returns according to Company requirements. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair Observe all Company safety requirements Performs other duties as assigned Mentor and train other shop personnel Ensure compliance of safety policies Maintain a clean, well-ordered work environment free of trash and hazards Retain and ship parts per the Companys Warranty Retention and Core Management procedures Provide administrative support by copying and typing correspondence, maintaining records and filing Maintain JBHT information systems in regards to parts receipts, shipments, inventories, and usage Ensure each unit has required inventory of equipment in order to determine usability and replacement of non-functional equipment Conduct Cycle Counts and periodic inventories as required Receive inbound shipments of parts and fuel to ensure proper quantity ordered and free of damage; stock inbound parts to proper storage location and update information systems Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7:00am to 3:30pm In addition to the company benefits listed below, the maintenance team will also have access to: Career growth opportunities Company-provided uniforms and annual boot allowance Safety culture with bonus incentives Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to a 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed Preferred Qualifications: Ability to multitask Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic deductive reasoning skills Experience working in a fast-paced environment Proficient active listening skills Proficient organizational skills Proficient time management skills Self-motivation Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job including: lifting above 50 lbs.., bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE) Ability to exercise discretion Ability to make time-sensitive decisions. Compensation: The expected starting pay for this position is between $21.14 - $31.71 per hour. Dont let distance keep you from becoming a part of our team! Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
