What Youll Do The Process Engineering Intern will support continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. This internship offers handson exposure to automation, process optimization, safety improvements, and quality enhancements across production operations. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support improvements in workflow efficiency, tooling organization, data accuracy, and overall process performance. Responsibilities and projects may include: Automate setup sheets to enable mass changes to temperature profiles Support schedule automation tasks to streamline production planning Develop and implement a Gemba walk visual management system Address safety issues and assist in reducing JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) risks Support quality trials, including design of experiments (DOE) and data collection Participate in productivity and process improvement initiatives Enhance 5S practices, including improving pointofuse tooling and workspace organization This internship provides handson experience with engineering problem solving, structured improvement methods, and exposure to manufacturing best practices. What Youll Need Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field Rising Junior or Senior preferred Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Ability to work with data, perform basic analysis, and document findings Familiarity with process improvement tools (Lean, 5S, root cause analysis) is a plus Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to engage in handson engineering activities Compensation $22.00 $27.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and educational background. Work Hours / Length of Program 1012 weeks (MayAugust 2026) Temporary part/fulltime, targeting 40 hours per week Flexible start/end dates based on school schedules and business needs This is a paid internship Working Conditions & Physical Demands This position is based in a highprecision aerospace manufacturing facility. The environment may involve exposure to noise, temperature variation, and general manufacturing conditions. PPE is required when onsite.
