We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our integrated health team at Diamond Neighborhoods FHC. This location offers a wide array of services including primary care, reproductive services, cardiology, mental health, vision, SUD, dental care, a physical rehabilitation clinic, pediatrics and many other services. Due to the expansive services provided at Diamond Neighborhoods FHC, this position is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant interested in working with a diverse group of professionals. Location Details Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am 5:30pm (closed for lunch 12:30pm-1:30pm) Address: 4725 Market Street San Diego CA 92102 Location Website: https://www.fhcsd.org/diamond-neighborhoods-family-health-center Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and assists providers as needed Support nursing staff and providers as directed Assist with managing clinic flow Schedule patient follow-up appointments, communicate referral information, and discharge instructions Explain medication instructions, and seek additional support for patients if needed Administer medications, including injections, when appropriate Draw blood and administer vaccines Respond to voicemails, routes messages, and return phone calls in a timely manner Record patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clean, process, and sterilize medical instruments Collects and handles laboratory specimens appropriately Follows 5S and continuous quality improvement methods in the workplace Follow all HIPPA guidelines Performs other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience Medical Assistant Certification At least 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting or a similar setting is highly desirable. In addition to these factors we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
