How we LEAD: Universal Music Group (UMG) currently has an opening for a Senior Accounting position within its Central Accounting Services (CAS) division. This position will support the general accounting close cycle and corporate reporting. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of combined frontline general ledger and/or corporate reporting experience, possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting and CPA credentials are preferred. Our mission in Central Accounting Services is to continually expand our contribution to the organization through team mentorship, individual development, and creative process improvements. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a dedicated work ethic and sharp mind. This team works a Hybrid works schedule. How you'll CREATE: In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a broad array of accounting, analysis and reporting activities, including: Assist in the monthly financial close and reporting process: Prepare and produce accrual journal entries Prepare management financial packages, including financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analytics to facilitate review of monthly close by senior finance management Reconcile intercompany accounts; confirm balances prior to final submission Reconcile Fixed Asset and AR subledgers Fill out sundry invoices Analyze overhead activity on weekly basis and post adjusting journal entries Communicate and follow up with intercompany partners to ensure that open/outstanding issues are solved in the timely manner Support special projects and process improvement initiatives Bring your VIBE: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA or MBA preferred 3 to 5 years of broad general ledger accounting or corporate reporting experience; public accounting experience preferred Experience with SAP or similar general ledger applications Strong Excel and Word skills required; Macros experience a plus Experience with HFM preferred Strong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines Possess strong oral and written communication skills Authorized to work in the US Perks Playlist: Be part of an entrepreneurial, global organization that values authenticity, drive, creativity, relationships, and a competitive spirit Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and FSA options, as well as: 100% coverage for out-patient mental health services Wellbeing reimbursements for fitness classes, spa treatments, meal services, travel, and so much more (up to $720/year) A lifetime fertility support allowance of $30,000 to plan participants Student Loan Repayment Assistance and Tuition Reimbursement 100% immediately vested 401(k) match on the first 5% of your contribution on eligible compensation Variety of ways to prioritize much-needed time away from work including: Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) for exempt employees 3-weeks PTO for non-exempt employees 2-weeks paid Winter Break 10 Company Holidays (including Juneteenth and Wellbeing Day) Summer Fridays (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) Generous paid parental leave for every type of parent Check out our full overview of benefits on the Perks Playlist page of the career site.
