We are looking for a dedicated Test Proctor to join our team and ensure the security and confidentiality of State Approved Competency Exams. JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision the Test Proctor ensures the security and confidentiality of sixteen (16) State Approved Competency Exams and must not discuss or provide any information about the exam item to any other person(s) other than the Training Coordinating Agency (TCA). Monitors test rooms during the administration of examinations. Enforces time limits and compliance with examination procedures. Explains and answers questions concerning examination procedures and related matters. Distributes examination materials to candidates. Takes inventory exam materials at the end of the exam session and notes any unusual incident with any individuals on appropriate document (appendix a) SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Inventory the exams material after arriving at exam site. Monitors assigned individuals and ensures the required space between students. Sets up check in station-Verify registered exam students have a state approved id by checking form and have them sign in. Inspects paper translation dictionaries to make sure it is clean with no written notes. Assures all individuals are given appropriate exam materials. Distribute up to seven exam booklets to students one at a time. Record students exam times on table tent cards. Monitors any break period a student may request between each exam and ensures student does not exceed maximum amount of testing time (45) minutes allowed by the state and be prepared to remove the exam from the student if not completed at that time. Ensures the individual takes nothing with them with then leave the exam room for a break or brings anything back in the exam room. Collects completed exam materials and instruct the student to sign out on the appropriate roster. Assesses exam booklets for any marks, vandalism or wear and tear-mark DESTROY on exam booklet if necessary. Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of related work experience. The Child Care Training Coordinating Agency (TCA) must ensure that all proctors comply with the standards with the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels. Positive student-oriented attitude. Ability to work with a diverse student population. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be exposed to short, intermittent and /or prolonged periods of sitting in or standing May be required to transport items to other campus offices or main campus offices May be required to carry and lift heavy testing cases Ability to walk up and down stairs Ability to see individuals at 50-foot distances This description is intended to indicate typical kinds of tasks and levels of work difficulty that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as declaring every specific duty and responsibility of the particular position.
