About the role Aquatics Supervisor - Ready to take the next step in your aquatics career while maintaining worklife balance? HealthFitness is hiring an Aquatics Supervisor in Marysville, OH to lead a small team of lifeguards and deliver engaging, safe aquatics programming in a corporate fitness setting. Schedule MondayFriday: work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:00am6:00pm Saturday: 10:00am3:00pm (approximately 1 time per month) Why youll love this role Full benefits package Paid professional development Volunteer paid time off Free gym membership for offshift use Stable, fulltime schedule in a corporate setting Responsible for the recruiting, training, and management of facility lifeguards and swim instructors. Assists with the development and implementation of programming, staff trainings, and basic aquatic maintenance. Responsible for the key accountabilities and will also assist with lifeguard coverage, swim lessons, and community water safety and aquatic health offerings. Key Accountabilities: Assist with management and supervision of Aquatic Staff (Lifeguards & Swim Instructors). Including: recruiting, training, and scheduling. Serves as a representative for the Aquatic Program, managing phone calls, answering patron questions, facilitating user groups and directing patrons to appropriate staff. Interprets and assists in the enforcement of policies and procedures of the Aquatic Department. Develop and implement Learn to Swim, water safety, and aquatic health programs and activities. Instruct Swim Lessons. Act as Lifeguard and Facility Supervisor as needed. Assist with facility maintenance and cleaning. Assists aquatic management with current projects. Other duties as needed/assigned. Minimum Requirements: Associate degree or higher. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with CPR/AED/FA. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Aquatics, preferably in some type of leadership capacity. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience developing, implementing and managing community activities and events. Preferred: American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT). Certified Pool Operator Certification. Bachelors degree in Recreation or related field. Experience with Swim meet event management. Experience teaching Water Exercise/Fitness classes. Ability to be a positive role model for staff and patrons. Must be self-motivated, able to stay on task with minimal supervision. Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete assigned tasks. Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $18.50 - $20.50/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
