We believe life enrichment is a vital part of the healing process, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team.Santa Cruz Post Acute Position Summary The Activities Assistant helps plan, organize, and lead therapeutic and recreational activities that enhance our residents' quality of life. This role is perfect for a creative, energetic individual looking for a meaningful part-time role with scheduling flexibility and customizable morning start times. Key Responsibilities Activity Leadership: Lead group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, trivia, and light movement exercises. Resident Engagement: Encourage resident participation and provide meaningful one-on-one bedside visits for residents who cannot attend group events. Event Support: Set up activity areas, distribute supplies, transport residents safely to and from events, and clean up afterward. Documentation: Keep daily, accurate electronic records of resident attendance and engagement levels. Community Spirit: Help decorate the facility for holidays and coordinate monthly theme parties to maintain a festive, home-like environment. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Prior experience in activities, recreation, hospitality, or customer service is preferred; experience working with seniors is a big plus. Attributes: Energetic, patient, creative, and possessing a genuinely warm, outgoing personality. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and communicate effectively with elderly residents. Reliability: Dependable attendance and availability to work varied hours across the week, including rotating weekend shifts. What We Offer Competitive Pay: $19.00 $20.00 per hour.
