ERM is seeking a hands-on Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Permitting / Due Diligence Project Manager to support the growth of our Capital Project Delivery (CPD) service line at the Seattle, WA office. This role will lead environmental site due diligence and environmental permitting projects for technology sector infrastructure facilities and other major capital development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with management of environmental due diligence and risk assessment during site acquisition, including Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), air quality permitting, regulatory and permitting evaluations, and natural and cultural resource evaluations and surveys. Experience with environmental permitting of capital projects is preferred. Our portfolio of projects is often fast-paced, multi-faceted, and geographically diverse. The position will require a candidate to work both independently and with teams of subject matter experts, as such, a successful candidate must have the ability to manage varying priorities and multiple tasks while forging a cohesive delivery team to meet concurrent deadlines on multiple projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Management ofenvironmental risk evaluations, permitting, approvals, and consent activitiesfor existing/new technology infrastructure development for sites. Identification of environmental permitting requirements as part of the due diligence process. Support of regulatory agency interactions. Support of development of environmental risk and permitting mitigations to enable technology infrastructure development and construction. Work collaboratively with partner Architecture and Engineering firms to help guide conceptual master planning Communication of environmental requirements to stakeholders, including legal, real estate, design, construction, operations, community development, and sustainability teams. Manage preparation of discipline-specific reports, permitting documents, federal, and state-level environmental reviews consistent with applicable regulatory requirements. Serve in roles ranging from project manager, task manager, technical expert, and QA/QC of deliverables. Manage and work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments. Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. Maintain client relationships that generate repeat business. Collaborate with other ERM CPD practitioners from multiple offices around the organization to execute similar projects. Direct and monitor project management activities, including task delegation and direction, subcontractor management, health & safety protocol management, monitoring of commercial performance, deliverable quality review, and interaction with clients. Maintain good working knowledge of multi-media environmental permitting and regulatory compliance programs. Ability to support multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and achieve ERMs high quality standards on project deliverables. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors and/or Masters degree in engineering, environmental science, biology/ecology, planning, program management or similar field. 6+ years of relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and standards. Strong presentation skills for client meetings and other events. Demonstrated technical skills in wildlife and/or ecological surveys (e.g., wildlife surveys, wetland delineations) desired. Ability to build and sustain relationships with clients. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. PREFERRD BUT NOT REQUIRED: Experience/working knowledge of permitting timelines and identification of permitting risks and mitigation. For the Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Permitting / Due Diligence Project Manager position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $93,023 $118,233 USD. An employees pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above. This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
