OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Networks national content. JOB DESCRIPTION WTXF- Fox 29 Philadelphia is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and creative News Leader. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record as a Line Producer with a dedicated, driven and tireless work ethic. A real passion for owning a show and the ability to work with on air talent, writers and editors on all editorial issues. If you are a talented line producer, we want to hear from you. Candidates should have strong writing and show production skills. Must have strong editorial knowledge and be an active decision maker. Responsible for producing all elements of our newscasts-- including leads, stories, teases and breakouts, and experienced in mining social media information. Must be involved in coverage of news events and participate in selection and development of stories. Must have strong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events, and excellent communication and people skills. Knowledge of TV Production techniques and newsroom computer systems required. A strong background in entertainment and talk programming is a plus. Must have a strong ability to editorially run the control room during our shows and during breaking news situations. Understanding of ratings, meters, and audience flow, and the knowledge of how to use this information to attract a demographically driven audience is a big plus. Candidates need to be innovative, and bring ideas on how to evolve our broadcasts. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $80,000.00-90,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
