Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Human Resources Intern to provide support to our Human Resources Operations team. Ideal candidates for this position are organized, adaptable, and eager to learn. Candidates should have effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities. This internship will provide you with experience onboarding new employees, managing compliance, conducting affirmative action outreach, controlling personnel files, and working with team members around the world to meet objectives. We're seeking motivated students from local universities who are interested in building real-world experience throughout the year. Candidates who can work part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. Modify and update applicant, candidate, employee, and/or organizational data accurately. Respond to applicant, candidate, employee, and/or community inquiries, concerns and needs. Cross-train with other department members to ensure seamless support of all HR duties. Manage confidential files and other privileged information. Under close supervision, follow area processes and work instructions. Understand. Create. Simplify. Other duties as assigned.
