Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Advanced troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs for all conveyor, sortation, and related material handling equipment, heating/ HVAC controls systems, plumbing and/or other specialized areas to ensure proper, safe, and efficient mechanical/electrical operations within the Distribution Center. Assist in the installation of new equipment or modification of existing equipment, and as necessary, fabrication and installation of specialized equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Work in compliance with all TJX best practices, safety rules and regulations in accordance with federal, state, and local municipalities Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repair and troubleshooting of all building and MHE equipment, plumbing, electrical, heating, refrigeration, sprinklers, etc. Advanced operation and a full understanding of control systems, multiple computer programs, and all building equipment. Completes all required paperwork and maintains a clean work environment. Monitor all control systems to ensure maximum uptime. Recommends and implements improvements to equipment, operations, and procedures. Trains and guides other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance of equipment and safety procedures. Assist with projects and work with vendors as assigned. Responsible for effective and timely communication. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree). High School diploma or equivalent Vocational training in a related technical field or equivalent Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages). Advanced understanding and knowledge of tools, electrical, hydraulic, and other systems Proven proficiency in electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical and electrical drive systems Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs. Minimum experience required to perform this job. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
