Research Assistant, Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Research Assistant- Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine Location: Evanston, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am 4:30pm Required Travel: Occasional travel to Endeavor Hospitals as needed (Skokie, Highland Park, etc.) A Brief Overview: The Research Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting and contributing to research initiatives within the hospital's Anesthesia department. This position provides an opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge medical research projects that can have a profound impact on patient care and healthcare advancements. What you will do: Research and collects data through complex techniques and procedures, library research, structured interviews, or other project specific methodology. Interprets, synthesizes, and analyzes data. Schedules, organizes, and reports on status of research activities. Plans and modifies research techniques, procedures, tests, equipment, or software management. Writes and edits materials for publication and presentation. Meets with faculty supervisor on regular basis to maintain ongoing communication regarding the quality of the assistants performance. Performs other related duties as required. Gain experience in observing perioperative clinical medicine in the operating room, intensive care, and pain medicine clinic. What you will need: Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in social, biological, computer or healthcare sciences) required Experience: 6 months minimum experience as a research assistant in human subjects research (or equivalent position) preferred. Experience facilitating recruitment and follow-up strategies with clinic personnel and operational problem solving.
