A Brief Overview This entry-level research technical role participates in a planned research projects by performing research protocols, experimental procedures and other laboratory tasks under direct supervision. May occasionally exercise minimal discretion and judgment in execution and interpretation of experiments, and of data derived. The laboratory of Dr. Anand Bhagwat at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician II to join an innovative new research program focused on how AML cells interact with the immune system and how this impacts outcomes for children with AML. We view immune therapies as a lens through which we can make crucial basic science discoveries about AML biology. An example of this line of investigation can be seen in Bhagwat et al., Nature Medicine 2024. This position offers the opportunity to address original questions within the vibrant CHOP and Penn research communities. Performing experiments aligned with the candidates expertise, potentially including flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular biology and cloning, gene editing and CRISPR methodologies Developing, maintaining, and updating laboratory protocols and documentation.
