Patient Registrar Surgical - Bariatric Medicine & Surgery - Queens Medical Group The Patient Registrar Surgical is responsible for scheduling patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures, including Pre-Admission Testing. This role involves providing high-level clerical support to the practice or provider assigned. Key Responsibilities: Answer patient phone calls courteously and professionally. Maintain administrative and clinical calendars. Perform schedule changes and manage the scheduling system. Prepare physician forms/applications for signature. Schedule patients' surgery and pre-test appointments. Ensure pre-operative clearances are obtained. Monitor physician schedules. Facilitate radiologic and surgical procedure peer-to-peer requests. Ensure proper communication with providers and patients. Develop effective interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers. This is a full time Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm), overtime based on operational needs. This position is located in Fresh Meadows, NY, with flexibility to travel to other locations. Preferred Requirements: Previous work experience with Bariatric surgery patients Bilingual - Spanish EMR-EPIC Required Criteria: High School Diploma or GED Prior experience working in a medical office surgical setting Knowledge of medical practice systems and office computer technology (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
