Full Job Description

As a Power Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Further develop and maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, and control the power system. Assist in developing product specifications, develop and analyze functional tests. Assist with application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets. Provide power engineering support for customer applications and Field Application Engineers. Assist in writing and reviewing innovative power system protection solutions to present at technical meetings and conferences. This job might be for you if: You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience You have typically 2+ years experience in electric power systems, protection practices, and philosophies You have excellent technical training skills You have working knowledge of apparatus and protective relay application at an electrical utility, industrial plant You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills You have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of SEL products Experience in power system modeling using EMTP Location Pullman, WA - SEL corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
