Youll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota Department: Research & Development Our Internship Experience includes: 12-week paid program beginning the end of May to mid-August to gain insight and knowledge in your field. Interactive orientation and events with skilled professionals in your field, including managers, directors, and CEO. Multiple networking, volunteer and fun events both virtual and in-person. Impactful projects that make a difference internally and externally for H.B. Fuller. End of summer final presentation to showcase your career development with support from managers and peers. Position Overview: The Hygiene R&D Intern will support laboratory activities focused mainly on product formulation development and technical problem solving, working under the supervision of our scientists and laboratory technicians assisting them in designing and conducting laboratory testing, analyzing the data coming from the experiments, and documenting the results. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct raw material and finished product characterization using laboratory testing methods and analytical equipment. Support the development of adhesive formulations through sample preparation, mixing, testing, and performance evaluation. Assist scientists and laboratory technicians with ongoing research, product development, and technical service projects. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Analytical, Sourcing, Sales, and Technical Service, to support project objectives and customer needs. Collect, analyze, and document experimental data, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and timely communication of results. Participate in troubleshooting, product improvement, and validation activities to support both development and commercial projects. Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and follow all applicable safety procedures and protocols. Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical field. Previous laboratory or research experience preferred, particularly involving polymers, adhesives, thermoplastics, or related materials. Experience working with analytical or materials characterization instrumentation is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $22-$25 per hour. In addition to your salary, H.B.
