Full Job Description

Pay Range: $40,300.00 - $66,250.00 Position Summary: This position is responsible for purifying proteins and polyclonal/monoclonal antibodies in a GMP Lab, following GMP guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to GMP, ACFP, natural, and other products used by pharma and IVD customers. Purifies proteins and polyclonal/monoclonal antibodies by column chromatography, using a variety of techniques and equipment. Filter, aliquot, and bottling of product using aseptic techniques, and submits to bulk inventory. Documents batch records following GMP guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Purification of proteins and antibodies. Assist in some GMP bottling needs. Cleans, validates equipment and procedures, and ensures the lab is ready for internal and external audits. Revises specifications, SOPs and documents as needed, and submits to manager for review. Ensures chemicals, stock buffers, and equipment calibration are up to date. Submits orders to restock chemicals, raw materials, and consumables when needed. Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Skill in establishing effective interpersonal relationships such as the ability to solicit key ideas and information. Skills in planning, organizational, time management and multi-tasking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing skills. Knowledge of safety and company rules and policies. Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality. Follows company policies and practices as outlined in Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outline in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance with the job. Requires continuous supervision and monitoring. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: This position requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, or equivalent with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of experience. Chromatography experience is beneficial.
