Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team in Mankato, MN. The Employee Benefits Account Manager will provide customer service and work with the insurance producers from the application process through open enrollment. Alert management of any E&O situation that occurs and maintain and update customers files for consistency and in accordance with agency standards. Knowledge of basic insurance products and pricing tools are essential. This position will be supervised by the Benefits Manager. How You Will Contribute: Participate in client meetings/sales calls with brokers, employee enrollment meetings and all departmental service meetings. Responsible for the servicing of selected Group Agency Accounts. Functions include but are not limited to reconciliation of claim issues, benefit inquires, enrollment issues, and carrier premium billing discrepancies. Handle telephone, email, and faxed inquiries and requests from clients and carriers Intake and audit control of enrollment information. Act as liaison to intervene with delays in claim processing. Correspond with carriers, members and providers to educate, clarify benefits, resolve claims, verify eligibility and resolve disputes. Ensure renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance requirements are documented into the agency management system. Plan and direct renewal process for health and life coverages. Recommend the most appropriate insurance solutions, alternative strategies, plan modeling and cost reduction opportunities Establish, cultivate, and manage customer relations with all levels of clients decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives. Routinely visit and educate clients on benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance plans (ERISA, SPD, COBRA, State Continuation, Medicare, FMLA, HIPAA. Etc.), and new product information. Licenses and Certifications: Licensed or able to be licensed in life/health in MN Skills & Experience to Be Successful: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Detail Orientated Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality High school diploma or GED Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Associates or Bachelors Degree in business or related discipline (Preferred) 1-3 years of experience in a similar position (Preferred) #LI-KM1 Pay Range $90,000 - $100,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
