Full Job Description

This position is located on the west side of downtown Indianapolis at 413 N Tremont St, Indianapolis, IN 46222, and starts at $11 per hour with a full benefits package (below): The Assembler performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce products according to written and/or verbal instructions. Example Duties and Activities Works as a team member to assemble products as instructed by Team Leader/ERDS. Cross-trains at different workstations as production needs require, following prescribed safety and quality requirements while adhering to company policies and procedures. Uses tools, tooling setups, and fixtures for work productivity. Meets all quality check requirements. Completes complex production assembly steps. Uses advanced power tools to produce products, such as a rivet gun, tooling setups, and fixtures for work productivity. Performs machine setup and troubleshooting. Required Competencies Degree and Credential Requirements - NONE! We value candidates who can demonstrate capability and articulate how prior experiences will help them contribute. General Labor Skills - Is able to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Preferred Competencies Communication Skills - Reads and comprehends two- and three-syllable words and recognizes similarities and differences between words and a series of numbers. Communicates simple sentences through both speech and written words. Mathematical Aptitude - Adds and subtracts two-digit numbers and multiplies and divides with 10s and 100s. Is able to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Light to Moderate Physical Work - is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Can manage frequent exposure to moderate/loud noise and frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts. Visual Acuity - Has the ability to adjust focus.
