Position Summary... The Senior Manager, Program Management leads the day-to-day execution of complex, high-impact initiatives across Walmart U.S. People Strategy & Operations. This role turns strategy into action by aligning senior stakeholders, driving clarity across teams, and ensuring that enterprise programs deliver measurable outcomes. Working closely with the Director of Program Management, Portfolio Management, and cross-functional partners across People, Product, Tech, and Operations, the Senior Manager orchestrates delivery through influence rather than authority. They bring structure, momentum, and communication discipline to programs that shape the future of how Walmart enables and supports its associates. This role requires exceptional organization, business acumen, and executive presence balancing delivery precision with the ability to communicate confidently and credibly with senior leaders. Program Planning & Delivery Lead day-to-day delivery of one or more enterprise programs (e.g., Hourly Pay for Performance, Open Door modernization) Translate strategic direction into actionable roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes Anticipate challenges, clarify priorities, and connect decisions across work-streams to maintain alignment Drive cross-functional routines that enable progress, accountability, and visibility Partner with Product and Tech to manage dependencies and system readiness Governance & Reporting Craft executive-ready updates and SteerCo materials that convey program progress, risks, and recommendations with clarity and confidence Partner with the Director and Portfolio Management to ensure program data and insights inform enterprise governance routines Maintain disciplined documentation, dashboards, and reporting that support decision-making Ensure governance standards, templates, and delivery frameworks are applied consistently across programs Stakeholder Influence & Communication Build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders across People, Operations, Finance, and Tech Navigate competing priorities and facilitate alignment through clear communication and structured problem-solving Represent program status and recommendations in leadership discussions with confidence and accuracy Partner with COEs, People Enablement, and field leaders to connect delivery plans with change management and readiness Partner with the Director and business stakeholders to clarify problem statements, define success measures, and ensure delivery plans address the right business needs Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Identify and remove friction points that slow delivery or dilute impact Contribute to the refinement of delivery frameworks, governance routines, and communication practices Leverage program management tools (Airtable, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent) to ensure realtime visibility and accountability Capture lessons learned and share best practices across the delivery network Apply an AI- and automation-first mindset to identify efficiencies, improve decision quality, and enhance the associate experience Key Skills Executive communication and stakeholder influence Enterprise program leadership and delivery discipline Cross-functional alignment and collaboration Governance and risk management Systems thinking and dependency management Change readiness and adoption planning What you'll bring... 7+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholder visibility Demonstrated success operating in matrixed environments and influencing without authority Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Airtable, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent) Additional Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Experience within People, HR Tech, or Enterprise Transformation functions. Familiarity with Walmart systems, delivery rhythms, and governance processes. Strong storytelling, facilitation, and executive presentation skills. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
